The Wild

"Nature and soul long for each other. They are the same substance like twins or trees with the same roots"

Bill Plotkin

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY THE WILD?

The Be Mythical Path is grounded in ancient ways alchemised for modern days, including archetypes, shadow work, alchemy, embodiment, ascension spirituality, shamanic and nature-based practices, and more. We focus on teachings, rituals, ceremonies, and initiations that activate, illuminate, heal, and unite... So that you can live your soul’s myth.

The Path takes us on the journey of Sacred Union with 7 Mythical Elements. The Wild is one of those 7 Elements and it includes deconditioning from our domesticated culture through reconnection to the natural world, such as finding a sit spot, taking wild wanders, and vision quests.

Rewilding and real Magic…

It was so misty when I was out on my wander yesterday, I took this photo as I strolled back down the lane to my house, marvelling at how lost in the mist it was despite being so close.

I dearly love this landscape… the fields, the great oaks, the hedgerows, the streams and the woods.

I know it so well and I feel safe here no matter how foggy or dark it is.

Into the woods I go to lose my mind and find my soul

I say those words (often repeatedly) each time I go through this entrance into my local woods.

This seemingly inconspicuous entrance is actually a gateway to a world of wonder and nourishment. Before entering I switch my phone to airplane mode and prepare myself for what awaits. Once through the entrance there is a steep descent of about 400 metres that leads me into the bowels of the woods.

TREE LOVE

Last week’s #wildwednesday invitation over at Waking The Wild is one that couldn’t be closer to my heart… it’s all about finding your special tree (or honouring it in reflection if you already have one), if you want to join us in this practice, the link is in the comments. And also do share with like-minded friends who might want to join too!

This poem below is one I wrote some time ago that is my reflection of what my tree has provided to me (it’s truthfully beyond words but words will have to do).

“With the wild nature as ally and teacher we see not through two eyes but through the many eyes of intuition. With intuition we are like the starry night, we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes.”
